Haiku for the week

Streets become greasy;
Wet air dampens everything -
A rain without rain.

Strange weather we had last night. I didn't see any actual drops of rain, but there was a lot of moisture in the air...

It sounds very... atmospheric. (Well, it did take place in the atmosphere, anyhow!)

In weather like that, including thick fog, I always like the sonic effects. Sounds seem to come from everywhere at once.

And you knew I'd have to follow that link, didn't you? I never saw any of the Ripping Yarns series; now to see if I can locate it with closed captions!

Sorry - an amateur stage version wasn't the best illustration of Michael Palin's finest hour. I was surprised there's so little of the (two) TV series on YouTube yet. However, the scripts were released as a book (which I have, somewhere), so I imagine you'll be able to find the full text somewhere online quite easily.
