Hell is nicely furnished...
Crowds become oppressive...
Exit can't be found.
I went to IKEA yesterday. Catching it at lunchtime during a holiday period was a particularly bad move: custom was close to the normal weekend peaks, but 80% or 90% of the staff had gone on a break, resulting in logjam queues everywhere. Hell on earth.
It's the struggle to find the way out that is always particularly wretched. I absolutely HATE that place.

I love IKEA! I love it so much that we went at 6pm on Christmas Eve. It was utter chaos, which made taking random photos of each other pretending we live in the display rooms more fun! And I got a RMB 39 coffee table, bargain!
That's probably the one I was trying to buy for 199. However, after waiting in the 'wrong' queue - twice - for nearly half an hour each time, I gave up.
I have a list of the items I want, so I'll try again next week some time. Hoping I can just sneak in through the exits on the ground floor, and avoid that having-to-trek-through-the-entire-goddamn-store rigmarole.
