So, Hosni Mubarak is still clinging to power by his fingernails, and the opposition are trying to organise another general strike?
I wonder if Mohammed ElBaradei has considered sending the embattled President some 'Panda' brand cheese?? Surely, that would get anyone quitting their office and running for the hills? I think it should be tried!

I happened to be around at a journo friend's house tonight when the news started coming through. His Chinese wife commented that the young reporter she was watching on the local news channel appeared terrified about how he should describe the latest developments. Beijing has been peddling the 'strong leadership good, chaos bad' line very heavily over the past couple of weeks. Oops - looked like they backed a losing horse!
I've always said they're going to lose the race in this country too. It's just a case of how long it takes for that to become apparent. Not any time soon, I fear.
It escaped my notice at the time (so much else going on in the world!), but this was Post No. 2,500 here on Froogville.
