The other day, I was offered a chance to appear in a forthcoming Beijing Television production about Winston Churchill. Alas, it was only a minor part as one of the great man's assistants, so the pay was going to be pretty piss-poor. And I've had quite enough of trying to work with Chinese film crews.Also, as I noted to the acquaintance who had recommended me for the part, "I'm getting to the age where I ought to be playing Churchill."
