Winter should soon be here. And winter is mostly quite a good season. The cold can be a little sharp at times, but we get lots of vivid blue skies, dry air, and relatively low pollution. At the moment, we're suffering a continuation of foggy, smoggy late October. Today didn't really happen: the peak light levels were little better than you get in the last hour before dusk. This is not good for the mental health. I may need to get myself a UV lamp. |

At least it snowed last night - 3 or 4 inches. Blessed silence.
And it's cleared the air up a little bit.
Getting to work this morning - through the half-cleared streets - is going to be a bit of a slog, though.
