Trees everywhere in blossom:
Spring arrives early.
This is a pretty season in Beijing (well, apart from the occasionally piercing winds, and the frenzy of construction everywhere that fills the air with sand and grit). But it is spookily early this year - a good 2 or 3 weeks ahead of the usual timetable. "Global warming"?? Whatever it is, I fear this means it is likely to become ferociously hot before mid-April. Let us enjoy the mild temperatures while we can.
