The Chinese sense of humour often seems crude or simplistic, or opaque or simply inaccessible to foreign residents like me (with a negligible grasp of the language)....... but then you occasionally, very occasionally, turn up a really well-done, sharply satirical, bitterly amusing piece like this great article by Zeng Ying on Danwei the other day. Although it's a 'humour' piece, it is scarily revealing about the condition of journalism in China today.
