A poetical thought for the week

Four be the things I were better without:
Love, curiosity, freckles and doubt.

Dorothy Parker (1893-1967)

I'm not with Dottie on this one. I've never been prone to freckles, but have no objection to them in others; in moderation, they can be quite charming. Doubt has never been much of a problem for me. Curiosity, I suppose, often leads me into problems, but I wouldn't be without it. Ditto, love: I'm definitely of the "better to have loved and lost" school. Strange how one can so admire a smart joke, even when completely rejecting its content!

ditto to your analysis of dottie's little joke.

what is a life lived without love, curiosity and doubt?

and freckles ain't so bad, either.
