Bipolarity.
A rather bitter-and-twisted one-time commenter (a "drive-by") suggested the other day that I was in "a state of constant misery". It was the sort of mistake that only a newcomer to the blogs, or a very superficial reader would make. In fact I am a textbook manic depressive (probably cyclothmic, if we're being nit-picky), and on average am only "miserable" about two days in every five; and I find strange solace even in the periods of misery.
[And yes, I know, the syllable count's a bit off again...]
