Friends have often chided me for my apparent lack of "ambition", for my consistent avoidance of conventional career paths or of any settled "direction" in life at all.
The other day I coined the perfect word for this propensity, a word that could be usefully applied not only to myself but, I'm sure, to countless others as well:
goal-disoriented
