Hoax?

I suppose I'm a bit late with this, but I've never been much of a fan of those April 1st shenanigans.

I can't now recall where I found this (though I suspect it was on FrostFireZoo [now, sadly, defunct]). However, there is a nice roundup of this and other 'winged cat' stories on Jessica Palmer's Bioephemera blog (and one of her commenters put me on to the Minnesota Association of Rogue Taxidermists - which is not as much fun as it sounds, but interestingly weird, at least).
