Review of the Year - The British Cowboy recommends... a haiku

Two-for-the-price-of-one today! My long-time drinking companion - and Barstool regular - The British Cowboy also recommends a haiku.... but less for the original haiku than for the fact that he created an all-haiku comment thread to go with it. For a heady couple of weeks, Tulsa, Mothman, The Cowboy and myself were communicating solely in haiku. So, do please go and check the original comments - and add one of your own.

An illustrated haiku

Things sure have been mighty quiet around here lately. As Tom Waits' lonely Minneapolis prostitute put it, "Everyone I used to know is either dead or in prison." In my case, everyone who used to comment is either ill or on holiday.

Tulsa, the stalwart of my commenters, is away for the whole month. Last time she went walkabout, her friend HiK deputised admirably - but it seems she's now too busy to do so again. OMG is just back from Thailand, but still reeling from the jetlag. Moonrat's snowed under at work, and about to depart on a holiday. The Mothman - where is he? Probably too busy with his hobby of becoming a Bulgarian property tycoon. And my old Oxford drinking chum, The Bookseller, can rarely be goaded into a comment - preferring to be a perpetual 'lurker'. (I hope he is at least still 'lurking'. The last time we had an extended spell of being out of touch, he eventually reported in:
"Sorry. June was a bad month. Broke car, arm, and computer. All in separate incidents." Ah, that's why I love him.....)

Cowboy, Snopes, where are you??

Mighty, mighty quiet.
