Thousand-Yard Stare
Tomorrow is a distant treeline, glimmering greenly;
Lush with possibility, teeming with fears;
Seething with mystery, dense with death;
Intriguing and threatening, it both beckons and appals.
We hesitate to move forward, but have no choice –
We are compelled to advance across the minefield of Today.
