I meant slice, of course.

God, I'm so brainfogged by shortage of sleep at the moment.Frooghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06738623732860210935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33211251.post-21779184018614513122011-11-24T06:52:15.084+00:002011-11-24T06:52:15.084+00:00Did you ever see Spaced?

It used to employ a lot of pop culture references, especially from the cinema - there were extended pastiches of bits from The Matrix, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, etc. Co-writer Simon Pegg has since become quite successful on the big screen (he was essentially playing the same character in his breakthrough hit Shaun Of The Dead), and the director, Edgar Wright also (he made Scott Pilgrim vs. The World a year or so ago, which was rather similar in style, but with the benefit of a much bigger budget).

I was intrigued to discover that Lucy Akhurst directed a feature a few years ago - a rather successful little indie comedy about morris dancing! I have some links about that I'd wanted to post, but I don't have them to hand now.Frooghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06738623732860210935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33211251.post-85410437899123844302011-11-22T15:57:23.510+00:002011-11-22T15:57:23.510+00:00Of course, when I read this the other day I immedi...Of course, when I read this the other day I immediately set out to learn everything I could about her. Which is surprisingly little...

...except the way she looked for that role seems to have nothing at all to do with the way she's looked for all the others. Seems her natural (or just preferred) hair color is blonde, and she wears it long.

I always look forward to your Fantasy Girlfriend entries. We probably don't want to speculate on what it means for a guy to draw vicarious pleasure from someone else's remote fantasies!JEShttp://johnesimpson.com/noreply@blogger.com
